Candies

I went to supermarket with my mom to look for some soba noodles.

I think she likes going out with me, because she can leave the routine, the routine restaurants, grocery, shops and bus routes, mostly set by my father.

She was checking all sorts of udon and soba in the Japanese food aisle.

Sometimes she could not enjoy as much because she was occupied by the idea that my father is upset being left behind, even though we did ask him to come with us and he refused.

"I am not going next time." "He is such a grumpy old man." "It's good but..." My mom has been saying these when I go to yoga, grocery, movie and dinner with her.

A traditional housewife is not to upset her husband, no matter how unreasonable he is. My mom is a classic one.

So I picked a pack of peach flavour soft candies for my mom. She likes to have some candies in her bag. She still has that curiosity about the world, I have to dig that out and assist her to rebel.

Van Gogh the cat is adopted. He really has the painter's gene. 

He is in fact quite nice.

杏仁梨子撻

我想做蘋果批，但最後想卻做出梨子撻。

撻皮不太完整，顏色也黃黃悶悶的，可是味道呀！真～是～好極了。

撻非常鬆脆，沒有被餡料的水份浸軟；內裡的杏仁餡料很香，和面層薄片糖水梨的香甜很配合。

我開心死了。

花時間不少呢，我沒有受引誘買預製的撻底，決定自己搓（所以看來就散爛了一點）。

中式燉梨甜品也好吃，但有時會帶一點酸味，可能是用了鴨嘴梨？

希望有機會再做這撻，同時希望下次做得靚點。

真是太好味啊。

Mau

May I present Mau to you.

Most cats you can imitate them talking, be it a cutie one like "scratch me please~~~", bossy one like "how dare you scratch my back, human!" or grumpy kind like "I hate to get up from bed". But I could not find a voice to imitate Mau. 

This is because Mau was a macho cat with his yin character. He walked around with his cool look, he caught birds and chipmunks and brought them back to the house, he never did those sweet cat things like rolling in your lap...He was just like other ordinary big farm cat. 

But he answered when you called his name. He promenaded with human friends to the river or to the woods even he felt cold and wanted to return. He did massage to his human friends night after night, and he purred like a locomotive when you pet him, so comfortable that he had to leave some love marks on your arms with his claws.

All his humans, chickens, roosters, dogs, horses and pigs friends who had met him will remember him. 

   

天氣終於回暖，我打掃一下後門。

在一箱放滿抹東西碎布的紙盒內，我先發現一顆核桃，再看到一顆完整的大花生。

是松鼠！💛

牠們會把多餘的食物藏在這樹洞、那石底，以備不時。

看來我家的抹布盒也給看上了。

但Gervais說，牠們有時會把藏寶地點忘了。

那不就是亂藏一通，偶然會因為找不到而挨餓，但偶然又會發現別家松鼠的寶藏而加餸？

後門外有一棵大樹，一直都有松鼠在走動。

我就不充公果仁，看看要等到何年何月才有幸運兒尋到寶吧。

Ferme la poêle!

Le mot 'chômage' apparaissait dans me tête pendant Noël.

J'ai dit à Gervais que j'allais prendre un pudding chômeur pour mon état.

Et soudainement le mois Janvier j'ai reçu les travail cinq fois plus que d'habitude.

Une vingtaine de bonnets, deux documentaire, les articles, les apps, le site d'internet.

Avant la fête, toute est pressée. 

Moi je me dépêche à fermer la poêle. On repose dans la fête.

Ça ne reste que le gâteau aux dattes et au lait de coco à faire.
