Ingmar, a Danish volunteer is working with me to show me what to do. She is a big and nice woman.
I served a dozen of cats in 3 hours, to clean the litter box, refill food and water, clean the cage and check the bedding. There are big rooms with many cats hang out and there are also cages where old cats, toothless cats or sick cats stay.
Cleaning a dozen of litter box was very not enjoyable, but these cats were surprisingly well behaved, they cooperated with my work. (You know, cats like to bully or make fun of new comer.)
They were quiet, they knew the routine and loved to be patted. When I cleaned a cage, the neighbor cat would meow me to hurry me up to go to his cage.
And so this is my first volunteer experience.
I saw a photo in the corridor of the shelter.
And then I had the honor to see the queen.
Balzaka, a queen of solitude.
